Rural Innovation Conference

Defra National Rural Network, AHDB and NFU are planning a Rural Innovation Conference in York which will take place on Tuesday 31st January at Sand Hutton, York, England.

The event has a wide range of speakers from Universities, Industry, Government Departments, Farmers and the European Commission to share project proposals, discuss innovative practices, funding opportunities and developments within the agricultural sector.

The event will:

·          Raise awareness of innovation and opportunities in agriculture for UK stakeholders

·         Share knowledge between innovators, farmers, industry and policy makers in the UK and across other EU member states and provide examples of EIP-Agri Operational Groups in action

·         Increase awareness of EU funding related to innovation (including EIP-Agri, Horizon 2020 and Agri-Tech programmes)

·         Provide an opportunity to discuss collaboration between Operational Groups (OG’s), stakeholders and industry and explore how to build strong and mutually beneficial networks
